Work day shifts and single assignments for Metro, a free newspaper with a daily circulation of 600,000 copies. Assignments vary widely from spot and general news to features and portraits. Recent assignments have included covering City Hall and Mayor Bloomberg, a feature story on new amusement park development in Coney Island, the city’s preparations for large snowstorms, press conferences, breaking news, sports and portraits. Six cover photos.

Pieces have focused on indigenous struggles in Oaxaca and Chiapas, Mexico and in Colombia; immigrant issues in New York City and Montreal; genetically-modified corn in Mexico; and textile maquiladoras in southern Mexico.
